Hi bloggers!
I talk you about the relationship between
cyclists and car drivers, in Chile since the invention of bicycle and car that
exists a problem to use the streets. In the beginning the streets were only to cars
and their drivers and they living were happy, but one day the bicycle stopped
using alone for cycling, and started using to move for the cities, that day the
problems started.
How the streets are design only for cars the cyclist
didn´t have a way to riding their bikes and they started using the same streets
as cars. Both had to share the streets and this complicated living together because
cars were bigger than bikes and sometimes this produced many accidents. The car
drivers blame cyclists because they are very irresponsible riding between the
cars and also they don’t respect the lights of traffics, etc… However, the
cyclists blame car drivers because they are high-handed attitude when they
driving and this could produce the accidents.
However, the last years the governments made exclusive
streets to cyclists and this helped to reduce the accidents in the streets
because the cyclists have their bikeway. The problem even not disappears because
it´s necessary more bikeways in the cities and also the bikeways centralized in
Santiago and Santiago isn’t Chile.
You never up on a bike, liar fat! Not men, it's a joke... This is a great problem because the drivers thinking that they are the street's owner.
ResponderEliminarHello! This is an important problem that must be solve, because bycicle's accidents are for irresponsible drivers of cars.
ResponderEliminarHi Lucas I think this topic is very important, and I´m a cyclist. I think one problem is how we understand “rides a bike”, I think that the majority bikeway sees the bikes like a recreate pastime and not like a transport and because of that they are not good
ResponderEliminarHi! I was a cyclist sometime and the truth is that I stop doing it precisely because of everything you describe. I hope this changes...
ResponderEliminarI am a cyclist (who has stopped riding lately) a driver and a pedestrian. I think we have a problem that is quite deep. We have bad or no cycle paths, irresponsible car drivers and many irresponsible cyclists, too. To me part of the problem goes down to civic education and respect for others.
